Are we that callous?

It is with deep anguish and a sense of utter helplessness, that I write this and condemn the act of mindless cruelty meted out to the ordinary citizens of Mumbai. Is is not time, that the machinery woke up to the reality and start treating the issue with iron glove and get itself a anti terrorism law? Stop treating the terror suspects with kidgloves and stop this nonsensical human rights violation cry whenever a suspect is picked from the minority community.  A terrorist is a terrorist irrespective of his caste/creed/religion. He is inhuman and in all probability insane. He should get the justice speedily. That is impossible in our current set up which doesnot even have an anti terrorism law. My appeal to all parliamentarians is  please enact one before another mumbai 26/11 is carried out on another major city. How come America after 9/11 is able to tighten its belt so that no single act of terrorism has taken place post 9/11? My deepest condolenses to all the near and dear ones of the deceased in yesterdays terror attack.
